Ditch the Map is a collection of love stories, murder ballads, and tales of the American West wrapped in bright melodies and rich instrumental swells brought to life by her immensely talented band mates, The Pan Handles, and special guests Charlie Sutton, Philippe Bronchtein, and Bernie Reilly. Heather Meuleman's debut album release comes on the heels of dozens of album credits supporting records from artists across the NW and countless nights closing down bars with her ripping fiddle.

Ditch the Map was recorded and mixed at The Tonic Room by Jason Ringelstetter in Boise, ID. Mastered at The Tonic Room by Chris Parks in Boise, ID. Ditch the Map was produced by Heather Meuleman, Jason Ringelstetter, and Neal Goldberg.

Heather Meuleman

Making music that matters

Heather Meuleman is a Boise-based singer-songwriter performing folk songs and murder ballads that study Idaho’s past, the complicated nature of relationships, and the lessons she’s learned along the way. 

Heather is a founding member of Jackalope Saints (PDX) and currently plays fiddle and sings songs with The Pan Handles (BOI). She's opened for national touring acts across the northwest including Joe Pug, Hot Buttered Rum, Layla McCalla, Sierra Hull, Tony Furtado, Shook Twins, and The Talbott Brothers.

She released her debut solo album in September 2019.

The Pan Handles

Gypsy, folk, blues and bluegrass are among the genres you’ll hear from the mouths and instruments of these seasoned musicians based right here in the Gem State. The Pan Handles bring original compositions to the stage and work up unique interpretations of some of their favorite artists. They are no strangers to the Sapphire Room stage and have been performing at venues and festivals across the northwest alongside national and international touring artists like Sierra Hull, Jay Cobb Anderson Band, Jeff Crosby and the Refugees, Shook Twins, and Trout Steak Revival.

Alive After Five: Low-Fi w/ Heather Meuleman

Start your Fourth of July celebration a little earlier this year with headliner low-fi and open act, Heather Meuleman. Alternative indie rock straight out of Boise, and working on their new EP called “Mindset”, low-fi plays a smooth melodic style of alternative rock with elements of folk, progressive rock and funk mixed in. Josh, Todd, Kevin and Fernando mix it up in a way that has attracted fans since 2007. Low-fi’s music has been featured on CW television and Showtime.
